I echo what may of you have been saying... I love fall. So in honor of the season, I thought I'd take a picture of the changing leaves from my office window every Friday from now through whenever the leaves disappear. I should have started a few weeks ago, but here's my first shot. We have a very grey sky today.
I started a Fall Fridays Flickr pool , so feel free to play along with me. On second thought, nevermind. But I will keep posting pics from my window.
Last night we had parent night in Eliot's classroom. It was only us and one other couple, and incidentally, the husband of said couple was the DJ at our wedding nearly 9 years ago. I love school parent nights. It is like an extra parent-teacher conference but you can get up and move all around the classroom. Eliot has been doing a lot of bread baking at school. And not sissy quick bread - he's been making real loaves of yeast bread. Yesterday he was busy with cheese cutting, which sounds like an elementary school joke, but he was really very happy to be cutting the cheese - as it were. Tee Hee.
Once we got home I HAD to work on baby Trey's gift, but I couldn't motivate myself off the sofa and away from ER. So during the news I pinned his blanket together and this morning after taking the kids to school I ran home and sewed it together. His "super bunny" is almost done, too. I left the hand sewing of eyes and nose and blanket stitch around the mask to do in the car tonight as we drive the 2 1/2 hours to go meet him. They are getting home from the hospital today and this afternoon Tim's mom goes in for her "re-scheduled" gall bladder surgery. Thanks again to everyone for your good thoughts.
Our weekend, in addition to baby cuddling, should include some laundry folding, ironing, cleaning up around the house and *I hope* some crafting. I have one more project that I NEED to finish and then maybe I can take time to do something fun for me - like sew up the blouse that I cut out in JUNE! I wonder if it will work to wear a turtle neck under it?
Have a great weekend, friends!
