I finsihed my bird ATC swaps last night and thought I'd share the final product. This was my first attempt at an ATC, and I was a little lost as to where to begin. First, what bird to pick, then what medium, what view, etc. I finally decided on a peacock, due to my love of all things Indian. I used water color pencils on water color paper accented with a gold paint pen and a little embroidery. I am rather pleased with the end result. I just wish I'd made one to keep for myself!
I made all six at the same time with the same view of the peacock, but they are all a little different. I guess I can't draw two things (or six, as the case may be) exactly the same!
I look very forward to seeing the six cards I will receive in the mail from other people next week. Thanks to Kleas for organizing!
And in more swap news, I also mailed my tea towel swap parcel to Monique in the Netherlands today. Here's a teaser. I'll post the actual items and my recipe next week when I know Monique has them in hand. Thanks, Jackie! This was a fun swap!
Here's hoping the post office brings YOU something lovely today!
