I'm here. Really I am. I've been mothering and homemaking and sewing and volunteering and organizing and downsizing and hosting and touring guiding, among other things.
And despite some really difficult moments this year, we have been enjoying ourselves, trying to live fully and spend more time as a family. We've explored and experienced and gotten our money's worth out of our Zoo pass. We've all found our groove and have been pretty happy.
We had a lovely visit from our British friends, Jules and Naomi.
School is over and summer camps have begun.
And, we will likely be moving. Again. State budget cuts, blah blah blah. At this point we have until October to sell our house. That may change. We shall see how it all pans out.
But we are okay! We feel like we have options! Having moved once, we are not so afraid to do it again. And we may just take this opportunity to undertake a real family adventure.
So I'm sorting and eliminating and painting and trying to add curb appeal. I'm planning a garage sale. I'm willing to get rid of my fabric stash. But before I do I've been cutting out projects - mainly for me - left right and center. I've been reading up a storm while I still have access to a local library. And reading books that I own but have never read.
I've been researching insurance plans and homeschooling options (input welcome, homeschooling mamas!).
And I've been slowly trying to catch up with the 365 on flickr. So if you're interested in the ins and outs of the past few months, catch me over there. I'll try to catch up with some of the crafty stuff over here. No promises that it will be anytime real soon, but I know you'll understand.
Thanks for hanging in there with us, friends. It makes me so happy to know that wherever we end up, there will likely be a friendly blogger nearby.
